Why the Foundation Was Established
The Middle East Orphan Relief Foundation was founded because no child should carry the consequences of decisions they did not make. When governments and systems fail children, we act with verified partners and clear accountability.
Message from the Founder
My name is Haissam Malas. I was born in Syria but left my homeland decades ago, living in different countries and witnessing the struggles that come with displacement.
As a human rights activist, I have seen how war, poverty, injustice, and loss leave children without the care and protection they need. I also know, from personal experience, how growing up without stability shapes a child's life forever.
This is why I founded the Middle East Orphan Relief Foundation: to bring hope, healing, and dignity to orphaned and injured children in Gaza, Iraq, Sudan, Syria, and other countries. Every child deserves love, care, and the chance to build a better future.
With your support, together we can give them that chance.
Full transparency (we publish reports and allocations)
Minimal overhead (volunteer-driven)
Verified partners only
Donor updates available on request
Our Team
The foundation operates mainly through volunteers to minimize costs and ensure that nearly all donations go directly to children. Staff are only hired when volunteers cannot be found.
